Aspire Zone Foundation has entered into a cooperation agreement with Sky Grace Academy to host the second edition of the Sky Grace 2024 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, set to take place from November 20 to 22, 2024. The prestigious event will be held at the Aspire Dome, Qatar’s iconic sports venue, marking a highlight in the country’s sports calendar.
The championship promises to be a unique event for the region, showcasing the technical skill and aesthetic beauty of rhythmic gymnastics. Athletes will perform intricate routines to music, using traditional rhythmic gymnastics apparatus. The event will be exclusively for women’s competitions, emphasizing grace, precision, and artistry in sport.
The opening ceremony will feature an exciting promotional display by Sky Grace Academy, drawing inspiration from major sports films to highlight key moments of the tournament. This will provide an immersive experience, setting the tone for what promises to be an exceptional sporting showcase.
Nasser Abdulla Al Hajri, Chief Marketing Officer at Aspire, commented on the partnership, saying, “We are delighted to sign this agreement with Sky Grace Academy. This collaboration enhances our ongoing efforts to support and develop diverse sports activities in Qatar. Hosting the second edition of the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship at the Aspire Dome is a significant milestone in promoting artistic sports in the region. We are committed to offering an unparalleled experience for participants and audiences alike, ensuring the event meets the highest international standards.”
Al Hajri also noted that the event reflects Aspire Zone Foundation’s broader commitment to developing local and regional sports and supporting athletes who strive for excellence. He added, “This championship will attract attention from sports fans both in Qatar and beyond, further solidifying Doha’s position as a leading destination for international sports events.”
Following the success of the first edition in Beijing, China, in December 2023, the Sky Grace 2024 championship is expected to draw participants from 25 countries, including Qatar. The Aspire Dome, with its world-class facilities and seating capacity of up to 15,500, is the ideal venue for such a high-profile event. As the largest multi-purpose indoor dome in the world, the Aspire Dome has previously hosted several prestigious international competitions, including the 2024 Hyrox Championship, which saw 4,000 athletes from 34 countries compete, and was a key venue during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
With its state-of-the-art facilities, the Aspire Dome continues to serve as a focal point for international sports events, and the Sky Grace 2024 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship will only further enhance its reputation as a world-class venue for elite athletic competitions.
