Al Shaqab has launched the second edition of the Al Shaqab International League, a showjumping competition taking place at the Longines Indoor Arena in Doha. The event runs over three days, with sessions scheduled from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, 2:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, and 10:00am to 10:00pm on Saturday.
This edition includes a qualifying round for the FEI Group VII Final, which will also be held at Al Shaqab in November 2025. Riders from Group VII countries, including those in the Middle East and North Africa, will compete for a place in the final.
The league includes several categories for local and international riders across different age groups and levels. Local events are Intro 1 (40 cm), Intro 2 (60 cm), Intro 3 (80 cm), and Amateur (100 cm).
International categories include Future Champions (ages 12–14, 105–110 cm), Junior Champions (ages 14–18, 115–120 cm), Youth Champions (ages 16–21, 125–130 cm), Open Class (115–120 cm), and Al Shaqab Champions (135–140 cm). The Future, Junior, and Youth Champions events serve as qualifiers for the FEI Group VII Final.
Al Shaqab aims to support riders and contribute to the development of equestrian sport through this event.
