Qatar’s national youth athletics team is gearing up for the 11th Arab U-18 Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, from August 23 to 27, 2025. The prestigious event will feature wide participation from across the Arab world.
Leading the Qatari delegation is Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, President of the Qatar Athletics Federation, with the squad set to depart for Tunisia tomorrow. The team carries high hopes of delivering strong performances that showcase the steady growth and ambitions of Qatari athletics on the regional stage.
The delegation includes 10 promising athletes competing across track and field disciplines:
* Idris Abkar & Hussein Mohammed – 110m hurdles
* Mubarak Saeed – 1500m
* Samer Hussein – 400m
* Timo Jumaa – 100m & 200m hurdles
* Saleh Mahmoud – shot put & discus throw
* Younes Al Baloushi & Abdullah Al Abdullah – pole vault
