Qatar Football Association has released videos explaining controversial refereeing decisions from Round 2 of the 2025/2026 Doha Bank Stars League, aiming to ensure transparency and inform fans. In Qatar SC vs Al Sailiya, a penalty was correctly awarded to Al Sailiya in the 86th minute and another to Qatar SC in 90+5’, both confirmed by VAR.
In Al Shamal vs Al Rayyan, Al Rayyan’s goal in the 32nd minute was canceled for offside interference, player No. 17 received a red card at 45+1’ for violent conduct, and a penalty was awarded to Al Shamal in the 85th minute after VAR review. In Umm Salal vs Al Shahaniya, Al Shahaniya’s 28th-minute goal was disallowed after attacker No. 5 pushed a defender. In Al Duhail vs Al Wakrah, Al Wakrah received a penalty in the 8th minute, and Al Duhail goalkeeper No. 1 was shown a red card in the 35th minute for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity, confirmed by VAR.
