The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF), in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™, has announced the launch of the official identity for the 27th Arab Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27). This comes as part of ongoing preparations for the tournament, which will be hosted in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026. This edition marks the first time the Gulf Cup will be held in Jeddah, representing a new milestone in the tournament’s historic journey.

The new identity is inspired by the spirit of the Gulf and the specific details of Jeddah. The logo design was inspired by the historic "Rawashin" (traditional latticed windows) for which Old Jeddah is famous, tracing the shape of the championship trophy. This step reflects the tournament's connection to the city's cultural and architectural heritage, providing a visual identity that expresses both the authenticity of the location and the modernity of the event. Furthermore, the colors were inspired by the Saudi national identity alongside the vibrant colors known to Jeddah, with turquoise shades derived from the Arabian Gulf shores to reflect the maritime character and the cultural and geographical ties between the Arab Gulf states.

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation confirmed that the new identity reflects the great passion Gulf fans hold for the tournament. It embodies the fraternal bonds and the extended sporting and social history shared by the peoples of the region, while highlighting the rapid development of Gulf football at all levels.

On this occasion, Mr. Jassim Sultan Al-Rumaihi, General Secretary of the AGCFF, stated: "The Khaleeji 27 logo is elegant and carries deep connotations that embody the importance of Gulf symbolism for this event held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia." He added that the logo carries great meaning, symbolizing the immense heritage of the tournament that represents the region's people. He noted that it draws inspiration from Gulf culture and celebrates Saudi Arabia's hosting of the 27th edition of this prestigious tournament, which has witnessed the rise of many great players.

The General Secretary praised the significant efforts made to produce this work, describing it as a clear and sustainable mark in the history of Gulf football. He also clarified that the organizing committee has finalized all arrangements for the draw ceremony, which will be held on the 19th of this month at Culture Square—the Art Center building of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Historic Jeddah. He pointed out that the tournament receives high-level attention in Saudi Arabia, ensuring a successful event delivered with high professional standards.

For her part, Ms. Mai Al-Helabi, CEO of the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™, confirmed that the new identity was designed to reflect the spirit of the tournament and its unique hosting in Jeddah. This was achieved by blending the heritage and cultural elements of the city with the established Gulf character of the championship to create a visual identity that resonates with fans. She added that Jeddah hosting the tournament for the first time is a significant station in the history of the Gulf Cup, noting its special value to the fans while the organizing committee strives to present an edition that reflects the Kingdom's growing expertise in hosting major sporting events.

The launch of the identity coincides with the countdown to the draw ceremony scheduled for May 19 in Historic Jeddah, amid wide public and media anticipation for one of the most prominent and beloved sporting events in the Gulf.
