His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and President of the Organizing Committee of the 4th GCC Games – Doha 2026, crowned the winners of the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay event held on Thursday at the Hamad Aquatic Centre.
Team Qatar delivered another outstanding performance in the swimming competitions, capturing the gold medal in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay while setting a new GCC Games record with a time of 7:29.22 minutes. ?????
The Qatari quartet of Ali Tamer, Mohammed Mahmoud, Saadaldin, and Emil Fuzai produced a dominant display to secure first place ahead of Kuwait, who claimed the silver medal with a time of 7:45.38 minutes. Saudi Arabia completed the podium in third place after recording 7:49.07 minutes to take bronze.
