The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) has named a six-athlete squad for the World Athletics U20 Championships, set to take place in Eugene, Oregon, from August 5 to 9.
The team features four field athletes: Abdullah Al Abdullah (pole vault), Abdulrahman Al Malki (high jump), Abdulrahman Ibrahim (hammer throw), and Hamad Dawi (discus throw). The track contingent consists of Yusuf Abdulaziz in the 400m and Mohammed Waheed in the 1,500m.
QAF confirmed that the team's preparations have been completed, with the aim of delivering strong performances and building on the continued success of Qatari athletics on the international stage.
As part of its build-up to the championships, the federation organized overseas training camps in Europe and Africa over recent months to enhance the athletes' physical condition and maximize their chances of competing for medals.
