Cairo is set to host the 37th Arab Table Tennis Clubs Championship for men and women from November 10 to 15, with 33 teams from across the Arab world competing for the titles.
The tournament will feature 19 teams in the men's competition and 14 in the women's event, with Qatar represented by three clubs in the men's category: Al Sadd, Qatar SC and Al Arabi, while Al Ahli and Qatar SC will compete in the women's competition.
The men's field includes clubs from Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Sudan, Bahrain and Oman, alongside the Qatari representatives. Among the participating sides are Egypt's ENPPI, Petrojet and Canal, Kuwait's Al Fahaheel, Al Tadamon and Al Sahel, and Lebanon's Al Adab and Riyadi Kfarshima.
The women's competition will also feature a strong regional lineup, including representatives from Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Syria, Algeria, Oman and Sudan, in addition to Qatar's Al Ahli and Qatar SC.
Preparations for the championship are being overseen by the Arab Table Tennis Federation, headed by Qatari official Khalil Al Mohannadi, in coordination with the Egyptian Table Tennis Federation. Matches will take place at Hall 2 of the Cairo International Stadium Indoor Halls Complex.
The official draw is scheduled for November 9, one day before the tournament gets underway. Under the competition regulations, each national federation can nominate up to three clubs in each category, with teams also permitted to include one foreign professional player, subject to registration requirements.
The championship aims to promote competition among Arab clubs, provide players with valuable technical experience and create further opportunities for participation, while contributing to the continued development of table tennis across the region.
The tournament forms part of the Arab Table Tennis Federation's annual calendar, which will see Cairo host the Arab Clubs Championship this year before staging the Arab National Teams Championship in 2027.
Tunisia has been selected to host the clubs' competition next year, with Morocco scheduled to welcome the championship in 2028.
